SHOP 700 SAFARI GRADE BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 375 H&H Mag. S# 14937. A Nov. 14, 1995 letter from J.D. Heath, Historian for Remington Arms Co., confirms "Our records indicate that your Model 700 Safari was manufactured in 1962. The Model 700 was introduced in 1962 and was available in 375 H&H magnum with a 26" barrel and came with a muzzle break.". This rifle's appearance resembles the 1961 Model 725 Kodiak w/ muzzle brake, receiver sight relief in stock & white caps to thru-bolt. The barrel has standard Remington sporting sights. Push-feed action w/ matte finish & open screw holes on top, jeweling to bolt & internal 3 rd. box mag. with hinged floorplate. Monte Carlo checkered walnut stock w/ black ebony forearm tip & pistol grip cap along with black recoil pad. Brown leather sling on QD swivels & studs. UNATTACED ACCESSORIES: Remington letter & 1962 price sheet. CONDITION: very good to near excellent blue finish with light scratches & lightly fading finish. Bolt handle has plum hue.
